Grandparent Nation

Nearly one out of every four people in the U.S. is a grandparent. This number, 70 million, is more than the number of people in France, and is twice the population of California. Today’s American grandparents are active and energetic. The average age at which someone becomes a grandparent is 48, and many of them are running marathons or dating online.

Adheretx

AdhereTx Corp provides web-based, intelligent monitoring and management solutions to improve the quality and reduce the cost of care in patients with chronic conditions including hypertension, diabetes, cardiovascular disease, pulmonary disease, and other disease states. The solution is optimized for patients with multiple chronic conditions and the most complex therapeutic regimens. It enables patients or their proxies to self report information about their medications and “observations of daily living” (ODL) behaviors, as well as to capture biometric monitoring data (e.g. blood pressure). A rules engine makes sense of this data to provide feedback to both patient and health care provider. The patient receives tailored, automated coaching and can be profiled for appropriate therapeutic interventions; the provider is given heuristic information to enable them to adjust medications and therapies on a timely basis to achieve goals for treatment and avoid potentially serious and costly complications.
